To access historical data on the calendar, navigate to and select the Historical option on the top-left of the page:
After a loading period, you'll see that the Calendar Legend and events on the calendar have changed to reflect past subscription events.
We currently show 3 types of events for past data on the calendar, with plans to expand our supported events going forwards:
Successful Subscription Payments - these represent subscription payments that were successfully completed by the customer. These will appear on the date the payment was successfully completed, and not the date that the payment was due. Clicking on the event will show whether the payment was received late, and the original due date if that is the case.
Overdue Subscription Payments - subscription payments that were scheduled for a customer in the past, but have not yet been paid. These will appear on the date each payment was due. For example if a customer's subscription was set to bill on June 3rd but their bank declined the charge, this will appear as an overdue payment on June 3rd.
Subscription Cancellations - these events occur when a subscription has been cancelled (when the subscription's Stripe status transitions to canceled). These will appear on the date that a subscription's Stripe status transitions to canceled, which is not necessarily the date a cancellation request was made. For example if on June 10th a subscription was set to cancel at period end and the billing period ended at June 20th, the cancellation event would appear on June 20th and not June 10th. Cancellation Request events are planned to be included in a future update.
As with our default view, clicking on an event will reveal more information about the individual items including customer emails, discounts, whether a payment was late, whether it was a "trial end" payment and more.
Above the calendar, you'll be able to see totals for both successful and overdue subscription payments over various past intervals of time, such as month-by-month or the current year-to-date period.
For this week, we're considering this feature to be in beta.
This means that while we're fairly confident about the data we're providing, there may be exceptions we haven't yet caught that could lead to inaccuracies.
We wanted to release and provide early access to historical data both for your use and get feedback on the accuracy of our numbers.
We've checked and double-checked the data across a variety of different subscription types, but if you notice anything that seems off please don't hesitate to let us know!
Your feedback helps us ensure accuracy as much as our own testing.
We aim to be as accurate as possible with the data we provide and this addition to the calendar is no exception.
Over the coming week, we'll be regularly checking that the numbers we show are correct. Once we're sure of that, this section will no longer be necessary!
This is the first version of our historical data for the calendar and there are a number of improvements we want to add to this in the future.
Some of our future updates you can look forward to seeing are:
Customization and filtering options for historical calendar data
More supported time intervals for historical event totals (going back more than a year)
More supported event types such as trial start and cancellation requests
Inclusion of non-subscription payments and charges as historical events on the calendar, such as a one-time product order
If you don't see this option on the calendar page, please try clearing your browser's cache or accessing ProfitKit from a .
The will be added to historical events in an update soon.
